The average 30-year fixed mortgage interest rate is 5.81 percent, down 13 basis points from one week ago. The average rate for a 15-year fixed mortgage is 5.05 percent, which is a decrease of 14 basis points from last week.
A 5/1 adjustable-rate mortgage has an average rate of 4.29 percent, up 20 basis points from the same time last week.
Turning to refis, the 30-year fixed refinance rates stands at 5.80 percent, a decrease of 14 basis points compared to one week ago. The average 15-year fixed refinance is 5.05 percent, down 12 basis point over last week.
The average 10-year fixed refinance rate right now is 5.05 percent, a decrease of 20 basis points over last week.
