Summer is officially here and there’s no better season to consider a property in one of SoCal’s beach cities. California Listings has you covered with a number of area experts—including Robb Stroyke, Bryn Stroyke, the Dentons, the Live South Bay Local team, Jennifer Davidson and Molly Hobin Williams—ready to help make your South Bay real estate dreams a reality.
If you are considering buying a home in the area, there aren’t many reasons to wait. Molly Hobin Williams provided a look at the South Bay’s latest market update, and while prices have remained high, inventory is improving.
Molly’s team is starting to see some softening in demand and an increase in supply moving into the summer months. Both new listings and listings for sale increased in May, compared to the month prior.
Year-over-year, both Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach have seen fewer properties sold in 2022, though sales are happening in nearly half the amount of time it took to move a property last year. And while the median list price has dropped by 2.2 percent in Hermosa Beach, its fallen by 6.10 percent in Manhattan—indicating a still competitive but softening market for the South Bay.
