Britney Spears Buys Calabasas Mansion

Britney Spears may have gotten married at her longtime Thousand Oaks home last week, but it appears the popstar intends to build her new marital home in Calabasas. TMZ is Spears is the new owner of a palatial seven bedroom mansion, following an $11.8 million close last week.

As expected, the very private and secure property sits within the double-gated Estates of The Oaks. The custom-built home features 11,650 square feet of opulent living space, with  wide-arched hallways, custom chandeliers, a grand 33-foot tall foyer, and Ann Sacks mosaic tile designs throughout. 

Highlights include a gourmet kitchen with a wrap around breakfast bar and oversized center island, a tiered 10-seat home theater, coffered ceiling home office, walk-in safe, home gym, game room, gift wrapping room and a wrap around mahogany wet bar.

The master suite features dual dressing areas, huge walk-in closets with onyx countertops, three-way mirrors and dual shower exit and entry. Outside, Spears can cool off in the mosaic-tiled pool or relax in the oversized Jacuzzi. There’s also a custom outdoor BBQ pavilion near the one bedroom guest house.

Joshua Altman of Douglas Elliman and Todd Bernstein of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage held the listing, while Altman and his brother, Matt, repped the buyer.
