Former Disney CEO Michael Eisner has listed his oceanfront Malibu compound for a staggering $225 million.
If he gets his asking price—or even within $50 million of it—the sale will be the most expensive home ever sold in California.
Set on approximately 5 acres in one of the most beautiful coves in all of the world, the Robert AM Stern designed property showcases nine structures in total, including the main residence, a gym, guest houses, an office, and an underground tunnel from the pool that leads to a large movie theater. Reminiscent of old estates in Provence and Tuscany, the stone-covered structures feature antique terra-cotta roofs that are connected through gardens and courtyards that all overlook the Pacific Ocean.
In all, there are 16 bedrooms and 22 bathrooms across 25,000 square feet of interior living space. As noted in the Wall Street Journal, outdoor amenities include a pool, as well as a cliff-side elevator that travels to an oceanfront cabana.
Kurt Rappaport of Westside Estate Agency holds the listing.
