According to Bisnow, the Standard Hotel will shutter it’s famed Downtown L.A. location next month. A message on the hotel’s main phone line said that the Flower Street property will close “indefinitely” on January 22, a year to the day that the Standard West Hollywood closed.
The entrances to the hotel have reportedly already been boarded up or locked and the parking lots have been closed.
The Standard first opened in 1999 under hotelier Andre Balazs. It has since grown into a chain of hotels with locations in in New York, Miami and London. Ferrado Group owns the Downtown L.A. property through Ferrado LA LLC.
