A handful of popular mortgage and refinancing rate options were once again down, for the week ending December 3. Here’s how the average shook out, according to CNET:
The average 30-year, fixed-rate mortgage stands at 3.14 percent, down five basis points from one week ago. The 15-year, fixed average mortgage rate is 2.44 percent, a decrease of two basis points from the same time last week.
A 5/1 adjustable-rate mortgage has an average rate of 3.13 percent, down five basis points compared to a week ago.
For refinancing, The average interest rate for a 30-year refi is 3.13 percent, down three basis points from seven days ago.
The average rate for a 15-year fixed refinance loan is down just one basis point to 2.44 percent. A 10-year fixed refinances also is down one point to 2.42 percent.
