We learned yesterday that California’s housing market had a slight slowdown in October, according to new numbers out from the California Association of Realtors. Now, we’re taking a look at the prices of those properties sold across SoCal—including the one county that actually saw price drops!
According to CAR, Los Angeles County experienced a 4.2 percent decrease in it’s median sales price in October, dropping down to $848,970. Just a month price, L.A. homes sold for, on average, $886,050.
Even with the decrease, the average sale prices of a home in L.A. County in October was still 13.9 percent higher than a year prior.
San Bernardino County had the highest annual increase in media sale prices, up 21.9 percent to $445,000 in October 2021. A year earlier, the average home sold for $365,000 in San Bernardino County.
San Diego’s median price remained flat between September and October of this year, stick at $850,000. Riverside properties went for a slightly higher $580,000, compared to $570,000 the month prior. Ventura County also saw a decent bump in price, jumping from $815,000 in September to $830,000 in October of this year.
Orange County continues to lead the region with the highest median sale price, coming in at $1,120,000 in October. That’s up 1.8 percent from a month early and a 20.4 percent annually. In October of 2020, the average sale price in the O.C. was $930,000.
