When you think of Orange County—and specifically Orange County real estate—dollar signs are likely to come to mind. Yes, the region below Los Angeles is known for pricey homes and expensive cars, but that doesn’t mean that value can’t also be found in the O.C.
Tustin, and more specifically North Tustin, are two of the oldest—and largest—communities in Orange County. Located between Orange and Santa Ana, Tustin offers a central location, one where California Listings North Tustin expert David Feldberg says you can quite literally get to anywhere in the county within 30 minutes.
“I love north Tustin for its old SoCal feel,” Feldberg says. “North Tustin is unique in that neighborhoods here have larger lots, single story ranch homes, big backyards and wide streets where kids play in the streets and neighbors are very friendly. Also, the schools are excellent!”
Feldberg knows the area particularly well, having built his nearly 20-year career in real estate here. More recently, Feldberg founded Coastal Real Estate Group in 2011, assembling a team that brings expertise in sales and finance to each and every client in North Tustin and the surrounding neighborhoods.
“When it comes to real estate, homes in Tustin and North Tustin are still moving pretty quickly due to the inventory shortage. While its a little better than the spring its still very much a sellers market,” Feldberg adds. “Well-priced homes receive multiple offers and are usually in escrow within a week.”
But those looking for property in the neighborhood needn’t get discouraged. Feldberg assures that the opportunity to buy in North Tustin comes with so many benefits beyond the value.
Whether mountain biking the trails at Santiago Oaks and Peters Canyon, relaxing in Irvine Regional Park or exploring Old Town Tustin, there’s a unique community feel and plenty of family activities that you don’t easily find in other sections of Southern California.
“As a whole, Orange County communities are planned a bit more for families. We have more local parks than anywhere else in Southern California and you are rarely more then 25 minutes to the beach anywhere in Orange County,” Feldberg says. “North Tustin has those same benefits, coupled with the fact that many of these homes have been highly updated and are really gorgeous at a fraction of the cost you would pay in other parts of the county.”
