Apparently it pays to be part of a uber-popular rock band!
Mark Stoermer and Dave Keuning, members of Las Vegas band the Killers, have reached picked up L.A. properties in the last few days, collectively spending nearly $15 million in the Hollywood Hills and Los Feliz.
According to Dirt, Stoermer, the band’s bass player, spent $4.7 on a 1920s Spanish revival. Known as the Silverman Residence, the home boasts six bedrooms and five bathrooms across 5,000-plus square feet of living space.
Unique details to the home include original stained glass throughout, inlaid hardwood floors, a large Italianate fireplace and a musician’s gallery. Outdoors, there’s a pool and spa flanked by a travertine sun deck, along with an 800-square-foot guesthouse sporting two bedrooms and two baths.
The listing was held by Tori Barnao and Gersh Gershunoff of Compass. Stoermer was represented by Boni Bryant and Joe Reichling of Compass.
Stoermer’s bandmate went a little more west and a bit higher in listing price with the purchase of a modern Hollywood Hills pad. Keuning picked up his new home from Grindr app founder Joel Simkhai, spending $9.57 million.
The villa, per Dirt, features six bedrooms and six-and-a-half baths and 8,000 square feet of living space. Stocked with your expected Hollywood necessities—wine display, screening room, spa-like bathrooms—the home also has an infinity-edge pool and spa, a sundeck, dual garages and a detached guesthouse.
Jory Burton and Heather Shorr of Sotheby’s International Realty held the listing; Boni Bryant also represented Keuning.
