Hilton Hotel’s luxury brand Conrad will be moving into The Grand LA when it opens next year, according to developer Related Cos.
Conrad will be the brand’s first California property. At it’s location ay the Grand LA, the hotel will stand at 28 stories with 305 guest rooms, according to Urbanize. The property is also expected to include a spa, pool deck, 16,000-square-foot rooftop terrace, meeting and event space, in addition to dining.
In addition to hospitality, the Grand will include a 39-story residential tower with 436 rental apartments. The entire project is being designed by legendary architect Frank Gehry. Gehry, of course, famously designed the Disney Concert Hall, located across the street from what will be the Grand LA’s location.
“With Los Angeles experiencing its largest downtown development boom in nearly a century, we believe 2022 is the right time to introduce such a dynamic hotel and exciting development to this cultural epicenter,” said Hilton executive vice president and president, Americas Danny Hughes in a statement. “We’re thrilled to continue to expand Conrad’s footprint in the Americas and have the opportunity to bring this empowered and design-forward brand to a new market.”
