Another month in the books, another set of records smashed. The latest July numbers from DQNews highlight that SoCal sales increased by 10 percent last month—and prices were up as well.
According to the L.A. Times, the six-county region’s median sales price reached $681,750 in July. That’s a 17.5 percent increase compared to July 2020. However, it is lower than the 20 percent-plus gains recorded since April.
All but two of SoCal’s six counties set new records in July. Here’s how the regional breakdown looked at the end of July:
Los Angeles County’s median sales price rose 18.7 percent to a record $795,000. Sales were up 20.2 percent.
Orange County’s median sales price rose 16.6 percent to a record $904,000. Sales were up just 5 percent.
Riverside County’s median sales price rose 23.2 percent to a record $525,000. Sales climbed 6.6 percent.
San Bernardino County’s median sales price rose 21.3 percent to a record $455,000. Sales were up 4.3 percent.
San Diego County’s median sales price rose 15.2 percent to $730,500. Sales were up 4.3 percent.
Ventura County’s median sales price rose 16.5 percent to $735,000. Sales climbed 10 percent.
