Notoriously pricy Orange County is getting a decent-size collection of new, “affordable” construction entering the market as KB Home begins sales of Row Homes at Lacy Crossing.
Some 84 single-family, three-story detached homes are now for sale with four bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms. The homes range in size between 2,000-2,400 square feet. KB has also started an interest list for the neighboring Townhomes at Lacy Crossing, a 33-unit, attached-home project.
Prices for the single family homes start in the $820,000s, which the O.C. Register points out is relatively high for the generally low-priced Santa Ana area.
According to the O.C. Register, in June, Santa Ana’s 92701 zip code had a median sales price of $372,500. That’s up 21 percent in a year and the cheapest countywide for the month.
Orange County’s median price for all new homes sold in June was $996,500.
