Apparently a penchant for long-lasting lipstick doesn’t necessarily translate into a desire for long-lasting real estate.
LipSense founder Joni Rogers-Kante has listed her Irvine home for a staggering $49.95 million—a far reach from the $12.5 million Rogers-Kante paid for the property in 2017.
Since then, however, Rogers-Kante and her husband, Ben Kante, reportedly spent “tens of millions” of dollars to customize the property, per the listing agent speaking to the Wall Street Journal.
So what kind of upgrades are we looking at here? For staters, if you’re in the market for a grand event space, look no further!
The Wall Street Journal notes that the seven-bedroom, Mediterranean-style house was redesigned for hosting parties for up to 300, complete with a catering kitchen and wood-beam loggia off the great room. Attention is, of course, all in the details, as evident by the hand-painted ceiling mural, ornate millwork and upholstered walls. Other embellishments include tile work by Concept Studios, Venetian Stoneworks slabs and Edgar Berebi hardware.
Accommodations include seven bedrooms, nine-and-three-half bathrooms, the “best home cinema” as globally awarded by CEDIA in 2020, a boardroom for 10 with a teleconferencing AV system, billiards and poker room with a wet bar, 1,000+ bottle wine room, gym, massage room, wet and dry saunas, air-conditioned six-car garage, and a subterranean tunnel that leads to one of two lower-level guest suites.
Per the listing, outside features include the 10-foot-deep resort-style pool, spa, underwater speakers and scuba snorkel system. Additional outdoor amenities include a cold plunge, auto-tee driving range, cabana bar, oversized fire pit, barbecue with grill and a commercial pizza oven.
Tim Smith of the Smith Group of Coldwell Banker holds the listing.
