If the market is beginning to slow, Southern California has not gotten the message.
New data from DQNews shows that the six-county region set yet another price record last month, with the median home price of $680,000 surpassing he previous record of $667,000, set in May 2021.June’s numbers reflect a 22.5 percent year-over-year increase.
SoCal also saw a sizable increase in the number of homes sold last month. Some 27,012 homes traded hands, as noted by the L.A. Times, up from the 24,064 that sold in May.
Here’s how the county by county June data stacks up:
- In Los Angeles County, the median home price rose 23.1 percent to $790,000.
- In Orange County, the median home price rose 17.6 percent to $900,000.
- In Riverside County, the median home price rose 20 percent to $510,000.
- In San Bernardino County, the median home price rose 21.3 percent to $442,750.
- In San Diego County, the median home price rose 24.9 percent to $750,000.
- In Ventura County, the median home price rose 22.7 percent to $736,000.
National numbers for June are expected by the week’s end.
