If you’re a ’90s grunge fan or love a fixer upper, you’ll want to check out this new listing in the Hollywood Hills!
According to Sotheby’s, the one-time residence of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love at Alta Loma Terrace is in need of some TLC—listed at $998,000!
Built in 1921, the Craftsman is full of original character and unique details, but is a major fixer. Featuring three bedrooms, three bathrooms across 2,400 square feet of living space, the home is a part of the legendary High Tower Elevator Association and comes with a key to the historic elevator and a dedicated garage on High Tower. (The five-story tower went up around a century ago to spare the residents of this notoriously hilly neighborhood from having to traverse stairs and inclines.)
Cobain and Love moved into the property—pre-disarray, we assume—in 1992. It’s rumored hat Cobain wrote much of Nirvana’s final album, In Utero, in the home.
The listing does note that the home will not qualify for traditional financing, so perspective buyers should come with an open mind and open wallets. Tatiana Tensen of Sotheby’s holds the listing.
